Who we are
We are a local government school situated in Lokarewasti, a remote village in Solapur district, Maharashtra. Students from low-income families are enrolled in our school.
Our work and its impact
Alongside education, we also impart basic life skills to the students. We believe that helping them achieve foundational literacy will help them become lifelong learners and a regular reading habit will take them a long way in this journey.
How we will utilise these books
The funds raised from our campaign will help us get delightful storybooks from Pratham Books. We will distribute 100 storybooks each to five schools to improve the literacy rate in our village. We hope that reading the multilingual STEM storybooks will encourage children to explore the world of STEM and develop new interests and hobbies.
