Who we are
The Ministry of Women and Child Development, a branch of the Government of India, is an apex body for formulation and administration of the rules and regulations and laws relating to women and child development in India.
Our work and its impact
For holistic into development of the child, the Ministry has been implementing the world's largest outreach programme of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) providing a package of services comprising supplementary nutrition, immunization, health check-up and referral services, pre-school non-formal education.
How we will utilise these books
On November 14th a run is planned for children from State Child Care Institutions and on November 15th, these children will receive return gifts comprising of two Kannada books from Pratham Books, colouring books, non toxic crayons etc.
The Books received though this campaign will be given to children from State Child Care Institutions on Children's Day.
