Who we are
Read Bloom Books is a platform for children to let their imagination take flight and reach new heights. It is designed to empower children to share their thoughts, dreams, ideas, and aspirations through their art. As an associate of the Liferarian Association, we believe that every child is a writer and deserves a safe environment to grow and flourish. Through Read Bloom Books, we invite children to create picture books in any language they are comfortable with.
Liferarian Association is a community of passionate librarians who believe in empowering and leveraging the role of a librarian in educational organisations. It was established by like-minded librarians from international schools and other IB-accredited schools to collaborate, showcase, learn and support each other.
Our work and its impact
As librarians and educators, we believe that stories and books impact young minds in various ways. Along with improving vocabulary and critical thinking skills, reading storybooks also encourages children to think outside the box and enhances their social-emotional learning.
We aim to promote literacy in India by building libraries in community centres and schools. We offer professional development for reading, writing, information and media literacy to help build literacy in rural India.
How we will utilise these books
The funds raised from this campaign will be used to procure storybooks for children in rural Maharashtra and Karnataka. Community libraries in remote areas will receive multilingual storybooks from Pratham Books to support over 700 children’s educational needs. The storybooks will help promote literacy and foster a culture of reading and learning.
