Who we are
Liferarian Association is a community of passionate librarians who believe in empowering and leveraging the role of a librarian in educational organisations. The association was established in 2016 by like-minded librarians from international schools and other IB-accredited schools to collaborate, showcase, learn, and support each other.
Our work and its impact
Inspired by the National Education Policy 2020, and the desire to build foundational literacy and numeracy skills in young children, our association believes that students will be empowered when provided with relevant library resources. The outreach programme will align with the educational needs of the students to promote literacy and scientific thought, while fostering a culture of reading and learning.
How we will utilise these books
The funds raised from this campaign will be used to fill a library in a tribal school in Wada taluk, Maharashtra with multilingual storybooks from Pratham Books. Children from tribal communities who attend the school will be able to access the books and enhance their reading, critical thinking and cognitive skills.
