Who we are
Chiranootana Urban and Rural Development Society is an NGO located in Ajjampura taluk in Chikmagalur district, Karnataka. We came together as a group of social workers in 2018 to contribute to betterment in society in the sectors of: education, health, environment, women and children’s welfare, and rural and urban development.
Our organisation is managed by individual donors and with the help of youth organisations like the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. We have also collaborated with the departments of Horticulture, Agriculture, and Forest; local hospitals and Gram Panchayat, etc.
Our work and its impact
Our programme involves organising evening classes for underprivileged students in our district. With a well-equipped library, we hope to improve their knowledge by providing them with the necessary resources.
How we will utilise these books
The funds raised from this campaign will be used to fill the library for evening school students with multilingual STEM books from Pratham Books. Through these books, children can expand their horizons and learn more about the world around them in a fun and meaningful way.
