Our work and its impact

Vidnyan-Vedh (VV): We have launched VV program in four villages of Amalner. VV leverages Activity Based Learning (ABL) techniques to develop scientific attitude and spark curiosity in children of the age group of 10 to 15. Currently, we are working with 400 students of 8th and 9th grades in Government-aided schools of Wavade, Mandal, Shirsale, and Dhar villages. We conduct weekly two-hour sessions in these classes.
Informal Learning Centers (ILC): We have designed a series of out-of-school activities to observe the impact of learning-by-doing and informal learning techniques on children. We have opened one center in Wavade village of Amalner block. Tinkering Lab is a part of this center where children will try to transform their ideas into reality. ILC is designed to help children with their studies in addition to resolving any subject-matter doubts that they may have. We promote extra-curricular reading (books, magazines, news papers), informal discussions on current affairs, etc to inculcate reading habits and hone their imagination. We also conduct creative workshops such as origami, art and craft, DIYs to promote their cognitive development. This project is in its pilot phase and shall be expanded to nearby villages on successful completion. The ILC is functioning since December 2020 with 20-25 children from Wavade village benefitting from the center.
