Who we are
Our school has just been established 2 years now, and we belong to the tribes of Dangs District in South Gujarat. So far, we have grown to around 40 students over 3 classes from LKG to Std I. We really love colourful books, and need them to see the world around us. Do help us get books for our school library. It's an earnest request from a few small, love-to-be book-readers from this small village school!!! :)
Our work and its impact
ASK English Medium School was started in June 2017, with a purpose of improving the educational standard of the tribal children from the villages of Dangs district in South Gujarat. Along with spoken English, the need of the hour is to improve written English too. Books go a really long way in helping. We would just like to be a stepping stone for these tribal kids.
How we will utilise these books
ASK Trust was established in 2007, with a need to bring about holistic transformation of the tribals of Dangs District, and to improve the social, economic and physiological status of the community around us. The ASK English Medium School hopes to make an impact in the educational standards of the tribal kids around, and bring them at-par with the cream of the society. We believe that we could empower them to compete with the best, and come out on top! We plan to use the funds to provide our ASK English Medium School kids with age-appropriate books, to stimulate their palate with varied books in different languages and on manifold topics under the sun. We later, propose to establish the library with a minimum of 100 books each of different disciplines, to encourage these tribal kids to spread their wings and soar, making an impression on society.
