Hello Sir and Ma'am, they say friends are the family that we get to choose. We are a family of 60 members. We like to study and learn about new things. We help each other to improve ourselves. We love reading stories in English. But we don't have books for that. Will you give us a chance to improve our skills and help us so that we can help our parents in near future? Thank You.
Our work and its impact
Hi, I am a fellow of Teach For India - a nonprofit organization. I come from defense background where I have always seen people working for the nation. For some reason i was not able to join defense, the next thing i could think was to teach kids from low income families.
How we will utilise these books
I teach kids in low income private school. Making my kids excellent academically to teaching them values to giving them exposure they need to follow their passion is my job. As this is low income private school, we don't have enough resources but I try to bring whatever I can in the classroom. These kids come from backward communities of our country, I try to build leadership skills in these kids so that when they go back to the community, they are able to solve the problems of their community. The funds will be used to buy books which will help these children in improving their Reading skills. Moreover, we are building a community library which will directly impact around 2000 kids.
