Who we are
Our organization runs children clubs in rural and slums of Dindigul District. We have around 20 children club, where we promote reading circle among children 0f 10-14 years age. We have around 340 children enrolled in these clubs. We require library books to these children in the preferred language and this would help them grow world knowledge and language for life time.
Our work and its impact
Scope India was founded in the year 1992 and is a registered trust. The organization works in Dindigul, Villupuram,Theni and Cuddalore districts of Tamilnadu among Children and Elder communities. We work with government and International organizations in our children projects.
How we will utilise these books
Our organization currently works with Children in and around railway stations and in rural areas in teaching them language, math skills and practical science experiment through the reading circles. We use our own curriculum and books to teach children. We don't have access to larger number of quality children books in our area. Our works provides the children worldly and practical knowledge for their betterment. Scope India aims to set 2 libraries for our reading circle with a nominal subscription of Rs.1 per children per book lended for maintenance of the centre. With funds we like to buy books in English and Hindi in 2019
