How we will utilise these books

We believe that children know about themselves better than anyone else. So we have a Democratic Learning system, in which children can choose their activities and learning methods on their own. We give them freedom to choose Activities according to their interest and need. Some of them are not good in reading, so with the help of a library our mentors can better help them to increase their reading skills. Some of our children are very talented and want to become writers or poets in the future (especially the older ones). However, the kids don't have access to good books. This is the reason why we want to set up the library and give them more access to education. The Pratishtha learning centre library will be use by 75 children. It will also benefit the development of weaker children because the mentors can target them and enhance their reading skills by using books of the new library. All children will get free access to the library and be able to choose books based on their interest and to expand their horizon. The library will be managed by the children themselves. That way they can learn how to do the book keeping and have everything organized. Two kids will be elected as librarian and make sure that the books are treated well and kept in place. This opportunity will enable them to take responsibility.
