Who we are

Having the choice of reading stories in your own language is freedom! Every child in India should have a book to read in a language she understands and loves. Celebrate the month of Independence with us as we democratize the joy of reading a good storybook, in one's own language! Help us make #FreedomtoRead a reality by helping us put together a library pack of 200 books in Telugu for Srujanavani Voluntary Association, based out of Vishakapatnam.

Our work and its impact

Srujanavani Voluntary Association is a registered NGO. Our focus area includes Education, Scholarships for needy students, strengthening the education system of government schools and working with 3500 children of Visakhapatnam district. Establishing science activity centers, Skill development, Provision of Drinking water & Sanitation, etc. Srujanavani Voluntary Association is a registered NGO with Registrar of Societies, under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001 (Act 35 2001) society no. 1980 of 2005.

How we will utilise these books

We, at Srujanavani, believe Education is the only area where we have to invest our resources, to reap the benefits of the humankind in addressing societal maladies. As the old proverb says”Teach the hungry how to fish rather than feeding them with the fish”. We need not explain the essence of its meaning. As it goes, Education is the paramount requirement of all the solutions. Srujana, is the participative program with the Govt. and Municipal schools initiated by us, in urban areas, with the view to enhance the Quality and the Objective of the education. We have conducted various competitions to nurture the growth among children. Setting up of libraries, helping poor children are also some initiatives in this project. These funds will be utilized in adding 200 new books in Telugu in the existing libraries of the Government school of Vishakhapatnam district.
