Who we are
Kashmir Foundation for Organisation Research & Development (KFORD) runs 80 safe centers for Kashmiri children. These centers are essentially safe spaces for young people to seek mental health support, nurture their talents and interests, and find meaning and joy through games, activities, and most importantly books. We would sincerely appreciate your support in helping us build classroom libraries for children of conflict, with limited access to books, resources, learning spaces, and mental health support. We sincerely urge young people, educators, parents, and all readers to help us bring the joy of books to the children of our conflict-torn region.

Kashmir foundation for organisation research and development (KFORD) is a registered organisation having its major thrust on research and development with special focus on child rights and protection.
How we will utilise these books
Kashmir Foundation for Organisation Research & Development (KFORD) runs centres for Kashmiri children that aids sustainable educational programmes to support their academic, social, and emotional well-being. These centres are essentially safe spaces for young people to seek mental health support, nurture their talents and interests, and find meaning and joy through games, activities, and most importantly books. K.F.O.R.D. aims to set up 80 libraries at safe centres across Kashmir, to facilitate learning, increase accessibility to a wide range of age-appropriate books, and cultivate a space for children to seek solace in the joy of reading. The funds collected will be utilised to purchase 80 library-in-a classroom sets for children within the age range of 8 -- 13 years.
