Who we are
Our story What better way than to install a Pratham's Library Kit in every class room in the schools that We conducts Book distriubution. We plan to visit about most rural Govt schools across Channapattana city this academic year. Please join hands with me to gift a dream to Govt School students across Rural Channapattana.
Our work and its impact
I am a software professional who turned volunteer by choice and wants to bring excellent education in classrooms where it is needed the most. Hence I applied to the Teach for India fellowship and work with the Many Govt schools around the Ramangara Dist.
How we will utilise these books
As per Annual Status of Education Report 2014, 51.2% of 5th standard rural children cannot read standard II level text book of their mother tongue and only 26.1% can solve a 3 digit by one digit division problem. In rural India, only ten children complete college education out of 100 children who enroll in primary schools. So am helping Govt Schools to get an good education from many organizations. About 10-15 schools will be utilize this books for the academic year 2019. We wish to distribute the Library In a Classroom kit to as many schools as possible.
