Who we are
The aim of including children with special needs into mainstream society ,the peer to peer reading program would link one child from a main stream school to read alongside a child from difficult circumstances.We require books for this program in English. Help us move closer towards an inclusive society.
Our work and its impact
Satya Special School is a centre for Children with Special Needs working towards social inclusion. We aim to reach an unreached population of children with difficult circumstances and provide them all the opportunity to ensure normal childhood
How we will utilise these books
We provide various opportunities for mainstream children to understand interact and integrate with Children with difficult circumstances like children of prisoners,commercial sex workers,street children ,Children with special needs and other excluded children and provide them an opportunity for social inclusion and integration. We are creating a Peer to Peer reading program among children in various rural schools in 34 villages in and around Pondicherry. We would utilise the funds to purchase books in English and Tamil.
