How we will utilise these books

At Pratham Books, we believe that every child has the right to enjoy good books. And we believe they should have stories set in surroundings familiar to them and in a language close to their culture. Which is why, we are a brand of storybooks as Indian as the children who read them. We believe that to make books accessible to every child, the price points have to be affordable. As a nonprofit publisher, our dream is to see a country where every child wants to read, is able to read, and has something delightful to read. From publishing good quality and highly contextualized stories to be read and enjoyed by children, we consistently reach out to children through our various partner organizations. In the last year, we distributed over 14 million storybooks to our young readers with the help of various organizations across the country. Our aim is to publish joyful storybooks and enable access for every child in every part of the country. The #PBChamps campaign has been going from strength to strength. We have grown from 250+ champions to 5700+ volunteers in the last 6 years. The funds collected this year will go towards giving books to individuals, schools and organizations who want to participate in this nation-wide campaign that celebrates the joy of stories, reading and languages.
