Who we are
The children of socio-economically backward families are forced to engage in earning in the age of learning or enrolled in government schools. Though government provides the textbooks & uniforms but these children need all other school stationeries including a bag, notebooks, pen, pencils, geometry box, drawing kit, water bottle, etc. which the parents are not in a position to provide with. The dropout rate increases significantly due to this. These children require your support in terms text books to improve their reading habit in order to enhance their knowledge level.
Our work and its impact
About www.jankalyana.org: Janakalyan is one among very few NGOs in the country accredited by Credibility Alliance, New Delhi for good governance, accountability and transparency standards. Janakalyan believes in empowerment and sustainability strategies and all its programs are designed with these core principles. It is an Institution for Innovation Integrated Inspiring Interventions led by a team of dedicated professionals committed for people’s empowerment. It is presently working in the northern districts of Karnataka with various activities. Its thrust area being empowerment of the underprivileged sections of the society all the programs are implemented through institutions of people of both genders. It believes that education is the backbone of the society; given education the development will take place automatically.
How we will utilise these books
Janakalyan exisits to serve four holy mothers viz. Manavimata (woman), Bhoomata (soil), Gangamata (water) and Gomata (animals) Janakalyan has adhered to 7programatic tools as framework of its interventions and these 7E are – E1-Empowerment: Jan Sanghatan: E2-Employment: Jan Krishi: E3-Environment: Jan Jal: E4-Education: Jan Shiksha: E5-Entrepreneurship: Jan Udyog: E6-Energy: Jan Shakti: E7-Ensuring health: Jan Raksha: The activities of Janakalyan are within the framework mentioned above and are to serve deserving mothers, needy children and poor farmers of marginalized and deprived communities.
