Who we are
We are the children of the India Reserve Battalion, Munirabad. Being located in a remote corner of Koppal district of Karnataka, we do not have access to any government or private library. We look forward to your generous help to improve our on-campus library & reading room to help us step forward confidently into the wonderful world of knowledge encompassed in books.
Our work and its impact
We are the India Reserve Battalion at Munirabad, in Koppal district of Karnataka. We are a 650-member strong force working out of a campus spanning 166 acres. Our campus population - including family members of staff residing in the quarters - altogether numbers around 1500.
How we will utilise these books
This campaign is aimed at raising funds for a small reading room which has been set up near the quarters area to allow easy access to books in all subjects, newspapers and magazines to staff as well as their family members, especially their children who do not have such opportunities in life due to the remote location of the battalion. The funds will also be used to augment the existing collection of books in the office library for the benefit of staff. The collection of books in the reading room and office library is highly limited due to paucity of funds. Hence, the funds collected shall be used to augment the book collection of the both the reading room and office library to provide a rich resource for reading to staff and their children and other family members.
