How we will utilise these books

Abhivyakti Foundation is working in rural and peri-urban areas on the issues of education, health and livelihood for a life with dignity for the disadvantaged communities. Our work focus on improving the quality of education, health and livelihood related services with a community based approach to improve people's access to quality services for their well being. Under education initiative we are working with Government schools in the fields of Right to Education, school development planning and promotion of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for learning enhancement of children. We also encourage reading habit through book fair and school level events which offer a platform for the local talents. Besides quality education focus we are also working on adolescent and youth life-skills. Our initiatives has helped 1200 children with improved access to quality education and life-skills. Abhivyakti Foundation aims to strengthen 6 reading corners in as many Govt. schools as models, were we are working on quality education interventions. With the reading corner the bal sansad shall organize weekly activities like quiz, competitions, reading sessions and develop plays with help of these books to perform at schools. The books shall be managed by the bal sansad at each of the school and can be lent also to students in rotation. To help the bal sansad in managing books we will train the bal sansad leaders in managing their reading corners.
