AIM For Seva has Free Student Hostels in 97 villages across 16 states, educating and caring for 3500 rural and tribal first generation learners. We provide free education, food, clothing, accommodation, tutions, sports, cultural activities in a caring environment
Our work and its impact
AIM FOR SEVA is an NGO founded in the year 2000. We have ATG 80 - 50% Tax Exemption, received Consultative Status from United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Guide Star Platinum Certification, Empanelled with the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Certified by the Charities AID Foundation (India & USA) (CAF), Awarded the 20th Mahaveer Foundation Award for Excellence in Human Endeavour in Community Service in the sphere of education, National Institution for Transforming India No: TN/2009/0007789, Awarded Four Star Rating by Charity Navigator, USA
How we will utilise these books
With a deep understanding of problems faced by children in these regions of India - commuting long distances to school, domestic pressures, financial strains, lack of extra-curricular activities and much more, AIM for Seva introduced the concept of Free Student Hostels enabling children to realise their full potential. AIM For Seva reaches out to under privileged children in Rural India, helping them overcoming their challenges of accessibility, poverty, single parent homes to complete education and prevent them dropping out or working at an early age resulting in a contributing citizen to their families, society and Nation Aim For Seva's goal is to have a library in all 97 homes across 16 states, in English, Hindi and the regional language. From the funds received, we will begin with books for 100 children in 3 out of our 11 homes in Karnataka, providing a full library of 375 books in English, Hindi and Kannada per Library per Home.
