Who we are
Azad India Foundation will set up 10 libraries in the government primary schools of Pothia block of Kishanganj. Our aim is to introduce children most of them being first generation learners to reading and love for books.We are looking forward to the generous donation of Hindi and Urdu books which can improve the learning and knowledge skills of our children.
Our work and its impact
Azad India Foundation was started in 1998 in Kishanganj district of Bihar and was formally registered in 2001. It started its activities with a non-formal education and vocational training center for women. Over the years, AIF’s focus has been on the development of poor and marginalized women, adolescents and children. Azad India Foundation has successfully set up libraries in the madrasas and learning centers in Pothia and Thakurganj blocks.
How we will utilise these books
Azad India Foundation is directly working with more than 3000 children in Kishanganj district improving their learning and writing skills through learning centres. The libraries in the government schools will provide access to more children and introduce them to the wonderful world of books. Azad India Foundation will set up 10 libraries in selected government primary schools.The funds will be utilised in buying age and content relevant books in Hindi and Urdu for the children.The children will be trained to manage these libraries on their own.
