How we will utilise these books

ASA, through its three tier pyramid model, strives to ensure that children and youth enjoy their "Right To Play". Annually, the initiative encourages over 9,000 girls and boys from the district of Anantapur to participate in sport and enjoy its benefits. Emphasis is primarily to promote sport and increase the participation in sport, particularly of girls in the base of the pyramid termed as Grassroot and Development centres. While at the apex, Anantapur Sports Village (ASV) established as a day-boarding and residential academy in 2002, supports ambitious children and youth to reach higher levels in sport while focusing on their holistic development. Children and youth at ASV receive year long scholarships to pursue their interests in both academic and sporting fronts - they are enrolled in higher education and simultaneously continue playing sport at competitive levels. Youth at ASV regularly participate in the state, national and university level games, helping them secure work opportunities with both public and private enterprises. The funds raised through this campaign will be utilized to setup a campus library space for the 160 residential children and youth at ASV. The storybooks received through this campaign will enable the children and youth to access another opportunity for their development besides inculcating the culture for reading. These books will also play a supportive role in the children and youth’s efforts to improve their Basic English language skills.
