Know more about us
Who we are
We are a company that distributes Light Kits made of cardboard to rural Schools. We'd like to share our Kit distribution with Pratham's Mobile Library Initiative, providing a Light Kit and a Mobile Library to the Schools as a single package.
Our work and its impact
The Light Box is an initiative to distribute eco friendly Light Kits to schools ( self - assembled ) with poor lighting facilities. The material from which the Kit is made of is cardboard, sourced from Kabadiwallas, put into effective use and designed to create a Kit for classrooms.
How we will utilise these books
The cycle of making the kits impacts the society in positive ways. We are upcycling waste and reusing it to create a well designed product to be distributed to schools which need it. The Light Box would like to pan a distribution of 10 Schools over the next 6 months. We would also like to encourage the need for exploratory reading and would like to provide the Light Kit and a Mobile Library together as a single unit to the Schools. For every 7 Light Kits given, a Mobile Library would be provided to the School as a whole.
