Who we are
I work for a NGO Teach for India and teach grade 5 students in a low income school in Ahmedabad. Every book I receive will increase in the knowledge and wisdom of the underprivileged, disadvantaged and poor children to become responsible individuals of our nation. The books will be used individually by all the children We also have library but not enough books and to which this new books will add on as great advantage.
Our work and its impact
I am Sakshi Singh currently a fellow with Teach for India. I am responsible for teaching extremely hard working underprivilaged kids .
How we will utilise these books
Teach For India places Fellows for a period of two years in full-time teaching positions in low-income schools. We strive to place Fellows within high-need schools - where poverty and other environmental factors may limit our students’ choices in the future. Within their classrooms, Fellows are responsible for ensuring that their students reach ambitious academic and personal goals that are deeply grounded in their context and developed in partnership with key people in our children’s lives - parents, other teachers, and community members. These funds will be utilized to update a library in my classroom, which will in turn help hem become better readers and confident,
