Who we are
We are students of a government school in Kadugodi,Bangalore. We now have 3 teachers from Teach for India who are here to teach us English. Unfortunately we don’t have access to any reading material in English at our reading level. We do try though by huddling in front of our teacher’s laptop to get a glimpse of the colorful story book and read a few words. With your help each one of us can have a book in our hands and accelerate towards our goal of becoming reading champion.
Our work and its impact
We (Deepa, Fazil & Natalie) are 3 Teach for India fellows teaching in a government school in Bangalore. Our students, grade 3 and 4, are eager to read. The only problem is we have no books! Literacy is such a powerful tool; please help our children obtain it.
How we will utilise these books
We help to educate India’s future generation. Funds will be used to purchase books for a government school with 500 children in Bangalore.
