Who we are
We are a bunch of 76 students studying in a low income private school in Bangalore. We love reading books. We want to learn about all the beautiful things in the world by reading books. So, we require books for our classroom library. We want to dream big by reading.
Our work and its impact
We, Sugirtha and Sannidhi are Teach for India fellows. We teach a bunch of enthusiastic 2nd and 3rd graders from a low income private school in urban Bangalore. We believe in the vision of Teach For India that one day all children will receive an excellent education. We also believe that we can achieve this vision by providing a holistic learning experience to the children we teach. An essential part of this would be to give them access to books.
How we will utilise these books
We are working as teachers in a low income private school in Bangalore urban. We are directly impacting 76 children. Further, we intend to extend our support to other classes in the school. Our vision for our little ones is to give them access to books, kindle their interest in reading and make them independent readers by setting up a mini classroom library. The funds will be utilized to build mini classroom libraries so that the children have access to good books. This will be a great opportunity for children to read as we believe that books go a long way in shaping them and preparing them for a better future.
