Who we are
Having the choice of reading stories in your own language is freedom! Every child in India should have a book to read in a language she understands and loves. Celebrate the month of Independence with us as we democratize the joy of reading a good storybook, in one's own language! Help us make #FreedomtoRead a reality by helping us put together a library pack of 200 books in Marathi for Late Malti Bai Joshi School based out of Ratnagiri.
Our work and its impact
Late Malti Bai Joshi School is a free school for children. In Ratnagiri district they have two primary and four secondary schools running where schooling and education is provided to children free of cost.
How we will utilise these books
The mission of the school is that no children, from any community should be deprived of quality education. To this effect they run 6 schools in the Ratnagiri district where education is provided free of cost for every child. The medium if instruction is Marathi. These funds will be utilized in adding 200 new books in Marathi in the existing libraries of this free school in Ratnagiri district.
