Who we are
We are set of 2 classes from 2nd & 3rd grade consisting of around 50 kids Total, studying in a low resource school in Ahmedabad. Our children are catching up fast and we need books to cater to their academic needs. We are teaching in English as medium and we believe that with the correct guide and resources our kids can take off and be their own leader. Help us achieve this dream. Help my kids to read!
Our work and its impact
I am Parth Bhalara working for an NGO called Teach For India, a project of Teach To Lead established in 2008, is a nationwide movement of outstanding college graduates and young professionals who will commit two-years to teach full-time in under resourced schools and who will become lifelong leaders working from within various sectors towards the pursuit of equity in education.
How we will utilise these books
Being a fellow at Teach For India, I teach kids in a low resource school in Ahmedabad. For us at Teach For India every single child matters. We believe that every child can and must attain an excellent education. In order to achieve this, we need a movement of leaders across all sectors that are committed to, and will work towards, ending educational inequity in our country. Our vision- One day all children will attain excellent education. My aim is to setup a library for my class and school. With these funds I will be raising a library for these kids in school, so they develop a habit of reading and learning.
