Who we are
We are a class of 37 eight year olds studying in a low income private school in Ahmedabad. We require books for our classroom library for we wish to read more books and in our preferred language and at our reading level. Help us become readers for life.
Our work and its impact
Myself Rajat Kiran,Fellow at Teach For India. I currently teach 37 fabulous 3'rd graders in a low income school.Though an engineer by profession, seeing the educational inequity in our country brought me to the profession of teaching.
How we will utilise these books
Teach For India is a Non Profit Organization that works with a vision," One day all children will attain an excellent education".We at Teach For India believes that each and every child has the right to pursue an excellent education irrespective of their demography. I help these children to read ,write and learn building them to be better citizens for tomorrow. I am confident that these children will go places and no walls can limit them. I aim to set up a classroom library by the end of this month.These funds will be utilised in purchasing books for the kids with respect to their grade levels.
