This Daan Utsav, Pratham Books is bringing 50,000 STEM story books to government schools, NGOs and community learning spaces with limited access to quality books and learning resources. The books encourage children to engage in STEM topics through stories, making them engaging and joyful.

What is a STEM Library?

Each STEM Library is a collection of 100 picture books that brings Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to life through stories, illustrations, familiar contexts and engaging characters.

The books explore themes such as:

1. Science and the natural world
2. Mathematical thinking
3. Observation and analysis
4. Problem-solving and creativity
5. Perseverance and confidence
6. STEM careers and possibilities

Available across multiple languages, these stories offer children different ways to encounter STEM, through questions, illustrations, characters and the world around them.

From discovering patterns in everyday life to exploring the natural world and meeting people in STEM careers, the stories encourage children to see STEM not just as something to study, but as something to wonder about, question and explore.
