Who we are
Aarohan Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education, preserving cultural heritage, and empowering communities. Through its various initiatives, the foundation creates meaningful opportunities for learning, creativity, and social development, particularly for children and young people. The foundation strongly believes that education is one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and creating lasting social change. By providing access to books and learning resources, it helps children expand their horizons, and develop the confidence to pursue their aspirations.
Our work and its impact
Aarohan Foundation works to make education and knowledge accessible to all, especially children living in rural and underserved communities. Through book donation drives, library development projects, educational workshops, and community outreach programs, the foundation encourages reading, learning, and lifelong curiosity among young learners.
In addition to its educational initiatives, Aarohan Foundation is committed to preserving and promoting Rajasthan's rich folk arts and cultural heritage. Through cultural events, music workshops, artist support initiatives, and awareness programs, the foundation helps connect traditional art forms with younger generations, ensuring that these valuable cultural traditions continue to thrive.
Working closely with schools, educational institutions, artists, and community organizations, Aarohan Foundation fosters collaboration and community engagement. Its mission is to empower individuals, nurture creativity, and create a society where knowledge and cultural heritage are valued and accessible to everyone.
By partnering with like-minded organizations, Aarohan Foundation has expanded its social impact and encouraged community participation in education, environmental conservation, and social welfare. Its projects not only address immediate needs but also contribute to long-term development by promoting literacy, sustainability, and social responsibility.
How we will utilise these books
Rural Library Development Project – Richidiya
We are developing a community library in Richidiya, a rural village that serves as the center of six surrounding villages. Children in Richidiya and the surrounding villages are enthusiastic about reading, yet most have little or no access to books beyond their school textbooks. The absence of a public library limits their opportunities to explore new ideas, develop reading habits, and enhance their skills.
To address this need, Aarohan Foundation is establishing a library that will provide free access to books, reading resources, and a welcoming environment for children and young readers. The procured storybooks through this initiative will be carefully catalogued and made available to students from all seven villages, ensuring that every contribution directly supports their reading journey.
