I am Sandhya Shanbhag, and I strongly believe that every child deserves a school with good infrastructure and a well-equipped library. During my recent visit to a government school in Umberpada, Maharashtra, I saw that the classrooms were overcrowded and lacked basic facilities — children sat on the floor, and there were only two rooms for classes 1 to 4.

Despite these challenges, the teachers were highly motivated and expressed a strong desire to improve English learning among their students. They specifically requested English storybooks to make lessons more engaging and effective.

Through this fundraiser, I aim to provide a set of storybooks from Pratham Books that will help teachers introduce English in a fun and interactive way. The books will be used during reading sessions and English lessons, benefitting the children from the tribal community.

These storybooks will help in creating a joyful reading space for the children, helping them develop language skills and build a lifelong love for learning.
