Who we are
Tanmay Development Foundation is a grassroots non-profit working to provide free education to underprivileged children in rural communities. Our mission is to uplift economically and socially disadvantaged children by equipping them with the tools for holistic development—mentally, physically, and emotionally. We operate educational centres in low-income and marginalized rural areas, focusing on community empowerment, health and sanitation, equal access to education, promoting lifelong learning, environmental awareness, social inclusion, empowering girls.
In addition to education, we also plan to expand our efforts into areas like environmental awareness, sustainable agriculture, digital literacy, and overall community development.
Our work and its impact
We promote education and literacy among underserved children by organizing book donation campaigns and setting up reading spaces. Many of these children have limited or no access to quality reading materials. Through this initiative, we aim to bridge that gap and nurture a reading culture in rural areas.
Books have the power to spark imagination, build confidence, and empower young minds with knowledge. By providing storybooks to these children, we hope to create joyful learning experiences and reduce the educational divide between rural and urban communities.
How we will utilise these books
The storybooks procured through this fundraiser will be used to enrich community libraries, reading corners in schools, and learning centers, especially in underserved and rural areas. These books will be made available to children and students to encourage regular reading.
Teachers and volunteers will use these books during read-aloud sessions and group activities to build language skills and encourage a lifelong love for reading. The books will be accessible for independent reading as well, helping students develop confidence and curiosity in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
