Who we are
A Govt school is located in a small village by name Ramanthapur (http://www.census2011.co.in/data/village/575996-ramnathpur-andhra-pradesh.html ). Most of the students are coming from below poverty line, 44% of them are girl students. They need better education. They have to read other than text books due to poverty their parents cannot provide more than text books. If we set-up a library they can read good books and gain knowledge.
Our work and its impact
I am Dr G Sudhaamsh Mohan Reddy, Assistant Professor, The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad. I came from village back ground. I know the value of education. So I am supporting our village from last five years to improve student’s education through a NGO “Gram Seva Mandali”.
How we will utilise these books
Most of the village students drop their education below 10th class. There are many reasons, due to poverty and illiterate parents, lack of encouragement. They never read good books other than text books. If we set-up a library with good books. They can get courage and self motivation by reading good books. We want to buy minimum 400 books. Which provides good knowledge and self motivation. By reading these books students must grow them self. They have to learn how to live in society and learn how to help for the society.
