Who we are
I started this school in our village to help educate the children in our village. I couldn't complete my studies due to various hurdles, I want the children in our village to have the opportunity I did not have.
Our work and its impact
My name is Lalit Kumar and I belong to a very small village in Orrisa which is naxal affected.I was not able to pursue my studies after 12th due to socio -economic issues but there was always a keen interest of learning in me.I have started a small school to give education to the children of my village and this is an effort that they would not face the difficulty which I have faced during my studies.
How we will utilise these books
I have started a small school in my village in 2017 as there is no school in my village.Families residing in my village i.e Mohangiri are mostly laborers and due to lack of resources they are not able to study and that prompted me to start a school and currently there are close to 100 children getting basic education and Sankalp Vidyala is the only school in radius of 5 km.I am trying to give education to these kids so that they can live a better future.There are 2 teachers in the school and the fee is Rs. 100 per child per month. Funds will be utilized in providing access of story books to the children who comes from tribal community and they have never seen and read colourful story books.
