Who we are
Our organisation's mission is to Empower children & youth living in marginalize conditions with life skills programme using experiential learning methodology to create resilience and opportunities to face the real life. We are working in 2 BMC schools where we want to build libraries.
Our work and its impact
Yogita Foundation for Empowerment (YFE) is a Charitable Trust. YFE is working with 60 girls from juvenile homes and with 900 children from Government Schools on weekly basis. We strongly believe in providing building the children's capacities through books, activity-based learning and providing more opportunities and exposure to the children.
How we will utilise these books
We see that the government school children lose interest in education due to lack of joyful learning environment and less scope for holistic development. We hope to change this through joyful reading material from Pratham Books. The funds will be utilised to build a thriving library in two BMC schools. We want to create child-friendly libraries where the books are easily accessible to them. We want to inculcate the habit of reading in the children.
