Who we are
The Community Development Association (CDA) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to developing local communities in Mankhurd, Maharashtra. Founded in 2019, CDA works to empower individuals, families, and communities through sports, education, health, gender equality, and civic engagement. Additionally, CDA advocates for policy changes to benefit the community. The organisation aims to build strong, vibrant, and self-sustaining communities by addressing each community's specific needs and leveraging local resources. Through its work, CDA empowers individuals and communities to play an active role in their development.
Our work and its impact
We are committed to expanding our children's library to foster a love for reading among young children. By providing access to a diverse range of books, we aim to promote literacy, critical thinking, and creativity. Our efforts will help bridge the educational gap, empower children from underprivileged communities, and contribute to a more informed and educated society.
By increasing the variety and number of books available, we will cater to different interests and reading levels, ensuring that every child finds something captivating. We will organise interactive reading sessions, storytelling events, and workshops to engage young minds and stimulate their imagination. Our library will also collaborate with schools to provide guidance on developing reading habits.
Through these initiatives, we will not only enhance literacy skills but also instil a lifelong passion for reading. Our vision is to create a welcoming and inspiring space where every child has the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow, ultimately contributing to a brighter future for our community.
How we will utilise these books
