Who we are

CLE is a non-profit Trust dedicated to providing free learning programs for children and youth from underprivileged backgrounds since November 2019. Our objective is to help children and youth learn subjects and skills in engaging ways that spark their interest and open up better opportunities for their future. We strive to enhance learning outcomes and reduce school dropout rates by making education more accessible and enjoyable.

Our work and its impact

CLE Trust operates online programs across 7 states in India and manages 10 learning centers in rural villages of Jharkhand. We offer educational support in key subjects and essential life skills, with a strong emphasis on interactive and engaging learning methods. Our goal is to make education both meaningful and enjoyable, empowering children to remain in school and reduce dropout rates.

Our Impact:

  • Engagement: By tailoring our programs to align with students' interests and strengths, we foster a deeper connection with their studies, keeping them motivated and engaged in their education.
  • School Retention: We tackle the issue of school dropout by creating supportive and enjoyable learning environments, encouraging students to continue their studies.
  • Better Opportunities: By equipping youth with relevant knowledge and skills, we aim to prepare them for better career prospects and life opportunities.

How we will utilise these books

Encouraging Reading Habits: The donated books from Pratham Books will be used to establish small libraries within our learning centres, providing children easy access to storybooks and educational materials. This will foster a love for reading and improve literacy among children who may not have access to such resources at home.
Interactive Learning Sessions: Teachers and volunteers will incorporate the books into group reading sessions, engaging children through discussions, improving their comprehension, and expanding their vocabulary. These interactive storytelling sessions will make learning more enjoyable and participatory.

Additionally, these books will support the existing curriculum at our learning centres by complementing subjects taught in school, reinforcing knowledge, and offering alternative learning opportunities for 500 children.
