How we will utilise these books

We have been running several initiatives at the school, ranging from Library programs for students to teacher training programs to improve the standard of education provided to the under privileged students. The Library program was launched in order to introduce children to the world of books and reading which would thereby greatly enhance their language skills too. We follow the Hippocampus Library Program curriculum which has been specially designed for schools that cater to under privileged sections of society. The funds will be utilized to buy a collection of colourful Pratham books with simple language and Indian context for the school library. These books will be used for constructing book based activities to pique the child's interest and have the children read the books thereafter. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who will conduct weekly library hours for the children to ensure usage of the books.
