Our work and its impact

Saakshar Hum Foundation provides holistic education that transforms lives with positivity and hope. The pandemic affected every child, some more than others. Education came to a halt for many children, who had already been struggling in the pre-pandemic world and the learning gap has widened in the years post Covid-19. Saakaar Hum Foundation had started with Personality Development and Spoken English Programmes in government schools in Uttar Pradesh. Now we are working to bridge the learning gap by focusing on building foundational literacy in Hindi and English through library classes in government schools of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. We have garnered the support of homemakers, school students, college students through internship programmes and retired professionals. We continue to work with the community of like-minded people and organisations to reach our goal of making children self-reliant and preparing them for the future.
