We are raising funds for CMS High School, Kanam, at Kanam Village, in Kottayam. The school caters to children of auto drivers, coolies and migrant labourers. We believe that books can transport a young, inquisitive and excitable mind to new realms of colour, dreams and ambitions. To break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy, we know that books can inspire children to reach out for more, far beyond their own little worlds as they now know it. Help us build 3 Library in a Classroom for our kids.
We are a non profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the standards in facilities and tools available for a quality education in poor and rural schools in Kerala. We channel funds and resources to project needs across infrastructure, hygiene, health, sanitation, student and teacher workshops, teacher training and the overall sustainable development of schools.
We work with students, teachers, educational authorities, parents and local communities in our quest for educational change. By building a better learning environment and a more equitable platform of education, we provide our schools with a competitive edge over other schools, through & therefore increasing student attendance and enrolment, improving examination scores and pass rates, and the overall image of the school in society.
Our schools face an acute shortage of funds and space for an exclusive library room. We aim to set up a Library in a Classroom (LIC) in various existing classrooms across 3 schools in the next year. The funds through this particular project will be utilised for one such library.
