Namaste. It is believed that Mahatma Gandhi considered books to be more important than diamonds because, diamonds shine from outside while a book makes a human shine from inside. And we also believe that if a society aims to create talented, compassionate and empathetic citizens it must devise a system that inclines children towards books and nature. Students must read about the biographies of great humans who walked on this earth and choose their role models. Our effort is to provide the best medium to our students that encourages them to dive into the ocean of imagination and knowledge.
Pardi Kande Primary School started with 10 students in standard 1 on 31st March, 1993. Today, this school is the second largest Upper Primary (Std 1-8) Government School, of Choryasi Block, in terms of total enrollment. The school staff has 20 teachers which serve students belonging to communities like Halpathi, Dodhiya, Naika, Bharwad, Muslim and migrants from other states etc. with majority of parents working as industrial and farm laborers. We strongly believe that education is a right for all and providing quality education leading to holistic growth of a child is our motto.
We are proud to have a highly experienced and dedicated teaching staff who have given their best day after day. This is greatly reflected in the enrollment of the last seven years which has nearly doubled i.e. from 375 in 2012 to 718 in 2019 and each year more and more parents are shifting their children from private schools to our school. We strongly believe in the relationship between the community and the school leading to installation of multiple facilities like RO Plant for clean and safe drinking water, hygienic and separate toilets for male and female students and staff, science and computer laboratory, smart class for Std 6-8 and a campus fully covered under CCTV surveillance, all through COMMUNITY DONATION and PARTICIPATION. Even the mid-day meal is provided by the Bapa Sitaram Ashram. Last year TWO of our students were selected for NATIONAL MEANS cum MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (NMMS) 2018-19 and ONE student cracked the Gujarat government funded SSE scholarship 2018-19 while the numbers were FOUR students in EACH of them in the academic year 2017-18. Also, our students from STD 2 have been bagging the FIRST PRIZE in STORYTELLING at DISTRICT LEVEL for the LAST THREE YEARS.
The funds will be used in two ways: 1. To setup 10 Library-in-a-Classroom (LIC) modules, one in each section from standard 1-5, to create a book friendly environment where students from the primary levels learn to actively interact and develop a bond with books and reading. 2. To enrich the books in our common library for students of standard 6-8. This is to ensure that all students get used to reading and doing activities in a library and develop a habit of visiting and using it. The campaign target aims to increase the number of books per student in the school from 1 to 4.
