We are Teach For India fellows teaching 145 kids from 5th grade in a low income private school in Ahmedabad. We are looking to build excellent vocabulary for our kids, hence creating a library for the 3 classes we teach. Our students have developed a love for reading and we wish to encourage the same going forward. I always give them books as a reward whenever they excel in exams or extra curricular.
I am a Teach For India fellow working in a low income private school in Ahmedabad. I along with two fellows presently impact 145 students of 5th grade. Our students have developed a passion for reading which we wish to encourage further, hence the fundraising. Whether you donate or not, you are always welcome to visit our school and meet our children to get to know them better.
I am a Teach For India Fellow, currently teaching 145 enthusiastic learners in 5th Grade. At Teach For India, we believe that "One day all children will attain excellent education". The vision for excellent education can only come true when we all collectively make an effort to provide access and exposure to our children. My kids come from under resourced backgrounds yet their dreams, aspirations and zeal is unchallenged. They are the leaders and my work is to cultivate their skills and mindset for a stronger and a better future.
We aim to set up a fully functioning class library by the end of March 2019. The collected funds will be utilized to buy books in English. We want the kids to fall in love with reading and this will only be possible if they have access to storybooks. A collective space of thinking and learning will encourage all the children in the school to read more and better. Our vision for the class library is to build collective learning through read aloud, independent reading and various activities and workshops.
