Our story

There is a lack of education opportunity in Kutch, and there is much scope for intervention. Somaiya trust is actively working in the development of village Tera. There was no library in the village. Mr. Samir somaiya took initiative and decided to restart it so all the villagers can take benefit. Trust has recently renovated the same. It is an open library serving the villagers form kids to elderly people. Trust have also donated 500 books for the same but the capacity is of more than 1500 so we need helping hands to support us with donation in books.

Who we are

The K. J. Somaiya Trust and the Somaiya Trust have been supporting the cause of spreading education, providing good health care, helping development, and broadly, making a positive difference in society. Good education and good health should be available to all. But India is characterized by a huge demand supply gap, and our regulations continue to limit supply. It is our responsibility to create the opportunity that the citizens of our country deserve. There is a lack of education opportunity in Kutch, and there is much scope for intervention. There was no library in the village. The designated library has not been opened for over 20 years. This library was really in very bad condition. Trust has recently renovated library of "TERA" village in Kutch, Gujarat. Our president Mr. Samir somaiya took initiative and decided to restart it so all the villagers can take benefit.

Our work and its impact

The Somaiya Trust have been supporting the cause of spreading education making a positive difference in society. Good education and good health should be available to all. There was no library in the village. The designated library has not been opened for over 20 years. This library was in really very bad condition. Trust has recently renovated library of "TERA" village in Kutch, Gujarat. Our president Mr. Samir somaiya took initiative and decided to restart it so all the villagers can take benefit. It is an open library serving the villagers form kids to elderly people. It is open for students to come and study during board exam. Our mission is to reach and improve the livelihood with the help of education which will lead to their development.

How we will utilize these funds

The funds will fully be use to buy the books but we would appreciate if we get donation in the form of books not in money.
